The Beijing Olympic Committee has created a series of itineraries for tourists to best use their time in China.
Simple, easy to read, comes with a map and includes meal stops and where to have them. Absolutely idiot proof.

Since the first mascot in Olympic history made its appearance at the 1972 Munich Olympic Games, Olympic Mascots have become a main element of the Olympic image. As a unique and popular image full of vitality, a mascot is able to materialize the Olympic spirit, communicate the concepts of each Olympic Games, promote the history and culture of the host city and create a festive atmosphere for the Games.
A gallery of previous mascots is here

To view the strange mascots the Canadians have come up with for the 2010 Winter Olympics go here
And to see the mascots for the London Olympics take out a pen, and draw your own. There aren't any yet. But if you want to see a whole bunch of people making suggestions and witicisms then goto here

As promised the BOA has announced the Tae Kwon Doe team today. And by God, no wonder we lose to the Aussies. There's only 3 people on the whole team!
Are you telling me there are only 3 people in the whole of Great Britain that enjoy kicking other people in the face? Has anyone even THOUGHT to try looking in WALES????
Anyway, comments about who they are and how happy they are to be selected can be found here

Cutesy wutsey screensavers and wallpapers from the Beijing Olympic Committee. Would be perfect to use as a threat to your children if they wont do their homework. I'm personally using the red mascot on a red flamey background on my work computer to prevent people from asking me too many questions.

The BOA has launched a website for 'Team GB'
This website is well laid out and easy to navigate. It includes all the chosen athletes and their own personal blogs and timetables of events. As well as the standard timetable of all events 'Team GB' is competing in during the 2008 Olympics.
