Lenovo and the IOC have finally released images of what the 2008 Olympic games torch will look like.

Has numerous symbols to show strength, unity, peace and was designed in partnership with Lenovo. Overall it is red and white in colour and i was able to find a small link to the Lenovo designers here also heres a small clip i found that also goes with the torch:

Torch Relay Paused to Allow China to Mourn PDF Print E-mail

After consulting with the International Olympic Committee, the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad has decided to pause the ongoing torch relay on the mainland of China. This is to allow for 3 days of mourning for the victims of the quake. more here

    "It (the Olympic flame's ascent of Mt. Qomolangma) is a once-in-life chance for the Chinese climbers as mountaineering is not a competitive sport and hardly listed in the Olympic family, so the ascent can serve as an opportunity to make our own contribution to the Beijing Olympics. I really consider it an honor," said female climber Guisang", who scaled the world's highest peak in 1990 and 1999.
